Mississippi River Cruise – Overview

We’re at it again; another American Cruise Line riverboat trip just like the Columbia/Snake River trip last Spring. Only this time it’s the Mississippi River from New Orleans to Memphis. And instead of going solo we’re dragging along a few fellow travelers to keep us from falling overboard or eating too much: Judy’s brother, Dave and his wife Roland; Judy’s cousin Sharon; and Judy’s cousin Steve and his wife Carolyn. Seven in all. What could go wrong?

As usual, I’ll be blogging with words and pictures at jonandjudy.com.  Feel free to check in to see what we’re up to. If you’d like a daily reminder, let me know and I’ll add you to the list.

In addition to the cruise, we’re spending a couple of days in NOLA to see the sights and visit Steve and Carolyn’s granddaughter, Jackie Hemman, who’s a first-year student at Tulane. I just hope she’s ready to be inundated by seven oldsters!

Memphis wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Graceland, some jazz, and some barbeque. I can’t claim to be a huge Elvis fan but, hey, it’s part of American culture so why not?
